You Never Let Go – Matt Redman

Sometimes you don’t even see that a battle is coming till you are right in the middle of it. When God wants to change you sometimes He needs to break you for you to see your sins. We hold on to them like they are a lifesaver. We can’t let go of our pride, selfishness or self-centeredness because then it won’t be about us any longer…but it is never about us…it is about Him. His Glory, His Son, His Kingdom.

I don’t know if you are going through a tough time in your life. Is there something that you have been crying out to the Lord about?

I heard a story of a little boy who cried out for his mother during a crazy rainstorm. She came to his room and comforted him. As she held him she realized that the boy did not ask her to remove the storm but rather stay with him during the storm.

How often do we ask God to remove or change our situation when instead we should ask Him to stay with us.

Yes, I’ve learned my lesson. So when He says to be …”Seek my face” I will answer “Yes, Lord your face I will seek” because only He knows what battles lay ahead.

 Psalm 27:8 (NASB)
When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You,
“Your face, O LORD, I shall seek.”

You Never Let Go — Matt Redman –

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
Your perfect love is casting out fear
And even when I’m caught in the middle of the storms of this life
I won’t turn back
I know You are near

And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear?
Whom then shall I fear?

Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

And I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
We’ll live to know You
here on the earth

And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear?
Whom then shall I fear?

Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

Yes, I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
Still I will praise You, still I will praise You
