A LITTLE ABOUT BEBE AU LAIT:

A Baby is Born, an Idea is Born.
When Claire Ekelund gave birth to her second daughter in 2003, she was proud to bePage 1_r1_c1 an active nursing mom but recognized that, once again, nursing in public was going to be challenging. Like many nursing moms on-the-go, Claire was quickly reminded of how difficult it is to gracefully feed a wriggling baby and hold a blanket in position. She searched high and low for a solution, but found that nursing covers on the market at the time were clinical, impractical, and difficult to find. Leaving the room to feed Baby in privacy seemed the only alternative, yet this was not always an option.

Claire decided to create her own nursing cover, the Hooter Hider (dubbed so by an outspoken male friend): an easy-to-use, machine washable, multi-purpose stylish cover designed with Baby and Mom in mind. The difference between the patent-pending Hooter Hider and other nursing covers is the rigid neckline allowing Mom and Baby unobstructed eye contact during feeding and other thoughtful features such as a small-item storage and clean-up pocket made from the softest terry cloth. Mom sees Baby…Baby sees Mom…discreet…on-the-spot cleanup…perfect!

For almost 2 years the company was called Hooter Hiders. However, as the business grew, Ronnie and Claire felt the company needed a more refined name to reflect the sophisticated elegance and good taste the company strives to embody: Bebe au Lait. The already loyal following of Hooter Hider fans, however, called and emailed, “It will always be the Hooter Hider to us!” For that reason, the beloved name was kept and now the same fashion-forward nursing covers sell under two brand names: Hooter Hiders for the tongue-in-cheek and Bebe au Lait for mommy chic.**

WHAT DOES THE IE MOMMY SAY?:

If you have a baby then I know you have noticed that most bibs wind up in one of two categories.media.nl The first being “Super cute but not functional” and the second “Works wonderfully but not very pretty”. Why is that if we want a product to be functional it has to be unattractive? Think shoes, cars, hairstyles…get the idea?

Bebe au Lait has decided to rewrite the book and created a sensationally fashionable and functional line of reversible double bibs that look great and work like a charm. With the reversible bib you are confident to know that your little Prince or Princess will always look their best and you will be ready for any spill that comes along. Click “here” to see how it works.

picThe two-sided Double Bib features Bebe au Lait’s signature chic prints on one side and plush terry cloth on the other. Perfectly oversized, it has two double sided magnets that seamlessly and securely fasten the bib across the chest with zero hassle. The absence of Velcro and cumbersome closures also mean Baby’s skin and cloths are protected. Totally reversible, with a possibility of four sides, this innovative bib allows for super clean feeding every time, even when busy moms and dads haven’t had a chance to wash it.**

I carried tons of bibs with me every where I went when the twins were babies. The reversible double bib is literally four bibs in one. Imagine how much less you will have to carry around? I don’t know why anyone would think function and fashion don’t go hand in hand but I am glad that Bebe Au Lait decided they do.
