Spotlight on “Ficklets” (Giveaway)

FICKLETS is derive from the word “fickle” – to change frequently; changeable.

FICKLETS was created out of a need to offer a versatile, fashionable and fresh alternative to the lackluster and ordinary kid’s eyeglass frames in the marketplace. Founder, creator and mom Ros Guerrero wanted to offer an alternative to the rather basic and yhst-95064494589768_2059_11440881uninteresting frames typically found in the kid’s eyeglasses market. She wanted to infuse a sense of style, color and fun, have the affordable option to change out her daughter’s eye wear without having to change frames, while maintaining the best vision care for her daughter. Her “vision” brought her to evolve kid’s eyeglass frames by adding a fresh perspective… from there, FICKLETS was born.**

The inspiration behind FICKLETS, is 14 years old with special needs. Her name is Gem. She has worn glasses since the age of 6 and from the beginning, was never too fond of wearing eyeglasses… until FICKLETS (thanks to her mom). She now fashions her eyeglasses with some style-attitude and enjoys wearing her FICKLETS tremendously. Gem and her mom also hope FICKLETS will help change the negative image others have about eyeglasses.**

My twins have to wear glasses for school when they are reading or working on the computer. They both have astigmatism. While it is not severe and they do not have to wear glasses all the time I was concerned on how they would perceive wearing glasses and how their friends would make them feel about it.

Ficklets plays a part in boosting their esteem and individuality. While they are identical yhst-95064494589768_2058_2736642twins and I enjoy dressing them alike. I realize that they are not the same person and like any sisters, have different likes, dislikes, tastes and opinions. Ficklets allows my child and any child to have a voice of style. With numerous styles, colors and designs your son or daughter could literally get a set for every day of the week. At the wonderfully affordable price point you will be able to splurge on their individuality and creativity.

Rylan chose the “dangerous” jaquar and Skylar selected the whimsical puppy paw print. They were thrilled when they arrived and quickly proceeded in chorus to say…”put them on my glasses mama please“.  A quick look at the directions and they were ready to show off their “new” look.

Ficklets were very easy to place on to the wire frames. They really gave a little edge, style and spunk to the twins’ frames. They were so proud to show them off. They let everyone know they picked out their own Ficklet.

yhst-95064494589768_2058_9793932Wearing glasses doesn’t have to be a chore or boring…it’s is wonderful to be able to give our children a voice of opinion and a little freedom in style regardless of their age. I think Ros created an ingenious idea and I love the concept. Swing by Ficklets and check out their vast collection from Sports to Classic….you can be as fickle as you want. After all, they are Ficklets!
