Spotlight on “Bowls Of Hope” (Review)
A LITTLE ABOUT POST “BOWLS OF HOPE”:
Post Foods has teamed up with Feeding America, one of the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief charities to help fight hunger. Post’s “Bowls of Hope” program will help provide balanced breakfasts to struggling Americans – for every purchase of Post Shredded Wheat the company will donate one bowl of cereal to Feeding America, up to 15 million bowls.
The purchase of a Bowls of Hope specially-marked cereal will support Post’s efforts in donating a bowl of Post Shredded Wheat Original, Shredded Wheat Spoon Size Original, Shredded Wheat and Bran, Shredded Wheat Lightly Frosted and Shredded Wheat Honey Nut.
Each variety is heart-healthy, offers the benefits of whole grains, is a good source of fiber, and provides a simple approach to feeling good while doing good. The Post and Feeding America’s Bowls of Hope program will run until December 31, 2009. To learn more about the partnership, click “here”
WHAT DOES THE IE MOMMY THINK?:
Cereal is a staple in most homes. Why not purchase a box that will help fill the tummies of others? I love the concept and idea behind the Post and Feeding America’s Bowls of Hope Program.
It helps me to teach our children about others that are not as blessed as we are. It gives me teaching moments in which I can explain society, economics, kindheartedness and tenderness. Bet you didn’t realize that a box of cereal could do that, huh?
I also bet that you didn’t realize that one box of cereal could affect so many lives. Just think about the numbers 15 million bowls! That is a lot of happy stomachs.
I was sent a yummy box to review eat and enjoy. I was a bit skeptical on the “Shredded Wheat” concept because as I child…I remember it tasting yucky! But as the saying goes “You’ve come a long way baby!” because the twins liked it, my husband liked and even “I” liked it! Bye bye cardboard, hello yummy!
Post Shredded Wheat comes in 6 different flavors with the newest taste sensation: Vanilla Almond.
Pick up a box of Post Shredded Wheat and realize that you have done something good…for yourself and for someone else. Join the Post and Feeding America Bowls of Hope program. Everyone needs a bit of Hope.
The IE Mommy is always looking for products, companies and sites to review. If you have or know of a company, product or site that could use an IE Mommy review. Email me at theiemommy (at) gmail (dot) com.
