WHAT DOES THE IE MOMMY THINK?:

My father “loved” eggs. Well, actually I don’t know if he loved them or that was all he knew how to make. He definitely came from the generation of “real men don’t cook”, lol. But he always made due and never complained as long as he had some eggs and bread. He was a good man.  Growing up on a farm he knew what “good” eggs were all about. I wish he was here to try the Omega 3 Eggs from Smart Balance. He’d be in heaven!

So what is Omega3? Omega-3 fatty acids are considered essential fatty acids. They are essential to human health but cannot be manufactured by the body. For this reason, omega-3 fatty acids must be obtained from food. Omega-3 fatty acids can be found in fish, such as salmon, tuna, and halibut, other marine life such as algae and krill, certain plants (including purslane), and nut oils. Also known as polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), omega-3 fatty acids play a crucial role in brain function as well as normal growth and development. The American Heart Association recommends eating fish (particularly fatty fish such as mackerel, lake trout, herring, sardines, albacore tuna, and salmon) at least 2 times a week. It is advised that pregnant women and mothers, nursing mothers, young children, and women who might become pregnant not eat several types of fish, including swordfish, shark, and king mackere***

I generally take Omega 3 Vitamins since I really, really dislike fish. But  it was a wonderful fact to learn that by eating the Smart Balance Omega 3 Eggs I was able to give my body the Omega 3 vitamin that it craves.  It was also much easier to persuade my husband and children to eat yummy eggs rather then swallow a big vitamin.  Don’t take my word for it…pick up a dozen of your own. You can find a coupon for Smart Balance Omega 3 eggs at Coupons.com.  What are you waiting for? Give your body what it craves!
