Spotlight on “Bumkins Back to School Tour” (Giveaway – 5 Winners)

Bumkins Finer Baby Products was founded in 1989. Initially conceived as a means to provide her own young family with an alternative to disposable diapers, Jakki Liberman began the company with a single prototype, the All in One cloth diaper. This inventive design, which rivaled disposables in convenience, became the foundation of Bumkins product offerings.CA-460

Bumkins Finer Baby Products soon expanded its product line into bibs, aprons, smocks and finally bags utilizing its signature soft, machine washable, waterproof fabric. With this product growth, Bumkins current best-selling product, the SuperBib® was launched in 1991 with great response.

Product development continued in 2000 when Bumkins diversified its merchandise offerings by introducing the Natural Collection, an upscale product grouping which features organic cotton and natural fibers.

In 2005 Bumkins became a Dr. Seuss licensee and entered into the world of infant and toddler apparel. Currently, Bumkins Finer Baby Products is proud to offer a robust catalog of baby merchandise available in wide range of independent and mass retailers, as well as the claim of creator to the number one selling bib in America, the SuperBib.

I have to thank Bumkins for being kind enough to send each of the twins their very own! The girls were so excited when I opened they package. They each grabbed their apron and ran upstairs to make me some delicious “pretend” food. We were sent a Rose Circles apron (which Skylar claimed) and a Blue Circles (which became Rylan’s). They fit perfectly.CA-454

  • Made of Bumkins’ proprietary waterproof fabric
  • Stain and odor resistant
  • Adjustable toggled neck tie and waist ties
  • Features 3-section, 6″ deep pocket
  • Machine washable, hang dry
  • Measures19″ across, 22″ from top down
  • Sized for children 6+

This may sound silly but my favorite thing about the Bumkins Junior Apron (beside the fact that they are waterproof and can be wiped clean) is that they bend.  Ok, I know that may be weird but hear me out….I have purchased numerous aprons for the girls and if they are made of any other material other then canvas or cotton…they do not bend. They do not conform to my child and become uncomfortable around their necks and flare out at the bottom…because they are stiff and plastic-like. If they are cotton or canvas, they bend but  then they are not waterproof and can not be wiped down.

I found myself as delighted as the twins when we received the Junior Waterproof aprons. Bumkins had an ingenious concept to put a toggle at the top of the apron so that little hands could be independent and put it on themselves…with out the frustration of having to tie a bow or wait for mom. The pockets were deep and roomy and the perfect size for a slew of Littlest Pet Shops pets! Seriously though…school is right around the corner and 1st grade will bring us a lot of crafts, cooking lessons and science projects. This is a perfect, lightweight, durable apron that will see us through a few grades.

Bumkins offers Adult sized waterproof aprons as well as Toddler sizes. Don’t forget to check out their Art Smocks and their amazing selection of Sale items!
